The SPCA Education Department, which runs educational activities for groups of all ages in the SPCA facility and other locations, was happy to visit the Nof Yam School, in Ashdod.
This activity was initiated by Sapir Yanko, Chairman of the Students’ Council in the school. During the program, the students heard about the state of animals in Israel, were told how the SPCA works towards animal welfare and watched a video film that was produced by the Educational Department. Puma, a mixed-breed, six-month-old dog, joined the activities. Puma is still in the Society, waiting for a warm home, and meanwhile she enjoyed much attention, petting and hugs from the children.
As the day of the activity drew near, the children collected bottles for recycling and gave them to the Society’s representatives. The deposit returns on the bottles will be used by the SPCA to buy food for the animals.
We invite other groups interested in unique educational activities to contact us by phone: *4553.
