Want to help us help animals through Facebook? Join the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animal’s new, unique group –Facebook Commando.
One of the principle instruments that the Society makes use of to reach the public, raise awareness on a variety of issues, publicize important messages and to get feedback, is the social media. For the past couple of years, the Society has been running a very lively Facebook page where we tell about animals who are waiting for new homes, and about the various activities undertaken by the Society for the welfare of animals.
At the same time, through Facebook, we are able to receive messages and notification from concerned surfers regarding animals in distress.
At this time we are launching a new Facebook project –Facebook Commando of the SPCAI. The “Commando” is a special group to which we invite surfers interested in helping animals, publicizing the Society’s message on Facebook, finding homes for abandoned cats and dogs, sharing important notices, providing feedback and new ideas for our activities.
In order to realize our goals, we are in urgent need of your help.

Animal adoption, spaying and neutering at subsidized rates, humanitarian education and projects geared towards saving animals, saving and rescue operations, sheltering, and medical care for the hundreds of animals in need of such every day – all of the above and more require the public’s response and cooperation.
We invite every Facebook user who cares about animal welfare, to join this unique group and help us help animals through the internet network. Group members will also enjoy special benefits relating to the Society, and other surprises. Membership is open to those of all ages, even to those who are under 18 and who cannot, for insurance considerations, volunteer independently in the Society.
